it's hard to believe that i have given up on her,but i did.
just got back from reservist last sat.it was a 6 days low key.
there were 3 or 4 H1N1 cases in my unit.
got in contact with one of them, through talking as he's my coy medic.
the symptoms started to kick in last morning,i even went home 2 hours earlier from work.
have seen a doc this morning, queueing up was a breeze and got myself 3 days MC.
honestly speaking,i do not dare to take 3 days MC due to the unfinished task being assigned to me.and somemore,i'm still under probation.
i think i am going back to work tmr.
came across a few interesting stuffs through this reservist;
1. first time in my life chanced upon an ang mo (from UK) who was wearing the new no.4 uniform
2. safety officer is the last to go back after training.he has to close the gates and from what i saw,
it was eerie in the background (dark.) oh ya,i was in the rover too, because i was covering for safety!!!
3. been to the battalion live firing deep inside pasir laba camp, now then i realised that kranji link is so near to pasir laba camp.it was a spectacular sight at night, with all the lights of the bridge.and the bridge is long, looks like the one in the states and in macau LOL.it was beautiful, trust me.but too bad,we can't take pics as camera is not allowed. (can take, but don't get caught). wondering do i have a chance to go back there again.
4. handphones/PSP or any other equipment which produces frequency waves are refrained from going near to the live rounds of matador.it will explode.
5. what was the loudest thing you have ever heard?for me,it was matador.my heart skipped a beat or two after hearing the very very loud blast (despite that i was wearing my custom earphones 2X-S). and it reminded me of "carole king - i feel the earth move, under my feet"
but it is not as loud as 84mm.can't imagine the one firing the weapon.
6. didn't knew that komodo dragons can be seen in our local shore.
7. my friend and i had almost lost our lives.been ordered by our CSM (company sgt major) to fill up the sand bags,i just followed my friend to the area with soft mud.and upon leaving,we saw the sign on the gate,it says, "danger, unexploded bomb area" with a skull sign on top.
my friend cursed and swear while smiling LOL.
brought nick's psp along, and quite a number of my friends borrowed it from me due to the old games which sam installed.bravo's famous ah beng, ong had been hogging on to it as he loves old nintendo games,as well as melvin, junji and stanley (all the hokkien peng of bravo coy) LOL.
didn't know that old games are still the best, and the most unforgettable one.
it was my 3rd and last low key.
anyway, and it's going to be high key 14 days next year onwards, which would be my 5th reservist.
before i in-pro,i have told myself,to challenge those army friends in chinese chess who have beaten me during last reservist.
all in all,i have lost 4 rounds but won more than 15 rounds.i have even challenged charles, the champion who beaten all of us last year.though i never checkmate him,his pieces were immobilized by mine,no way out. i lost to him in 2nd round though (my chariot makan up by his horse) LOL.
i've got to know that charles participated in chinese chess competition when he was in JC.(at least i know where my skill stands now).
my only regret was,i never had a chance to play with weizhong, the platoon commander for pl6.
he is another good player.
been commented that i have improved alot.all thanks to viwawa.
but still,i have to do something to my alertness.those 4 rounds which i have lost, were uncalled for.
this 4th reservist, was a slack one for me.because i had been doing safety cover all the way LOL.
by the way,i just tagged my guru aka my big sister, kiccoro into my "friends' blog". do check it out!she's a cheeky girl!!
